If you…

Walk on eggshells, struggle with guilt, anxiety, people-pleasing, or emotionally unpredictable relationships, you are not alone. Trauma and childhood experiences, especially those with a parent who displayed borderline personality traits, can leave deep emotional wounds that continue into adulthood and impact daily life. My therapeutic approach is designed for adults who struggle with post-traumatic stress symptoms—hypervigilance, emotional overwhelm, difficulty trusting themselves, and challenges in relationships— and for adult children of borderline parents who are ready to heal, reclaim their voice, and build healthier relationships.

Using a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, I help clients understand the impact of their trauma and upbringing, develop strong emotional boundaries, reduce self-doubt, and create lasting emotional stability. Together, we will cultivate a safe, supportive space to process painful experiences, break unhealthy patterns, and rediscover your sense of self.

You deserve relationships rooted in safety, confidence, and peace — not survival mode. Healing is possible, and you do not have to navigate it alone.

Just imagine walking through life…

  • without the constant anxiety of wondering whether you said the wrong thing or disappointed someone

  • being able to trust your own thoughts, set boundaries without overwhelming guilt, and feel emotionally grounded instead of constantly on edge.

Healing from trauma or a childhood shaped by emotional instability is not about becoming a different person it is about finally feeling safe enough to become yourself.

Working together, we can begin to understand how trauma and your upbringing shaped your relationships, self-worth, and emotional responses without letting those experiences define your future. You can learn to stop second-guessing yourself, communicate your needs with confidence, and create relationships built on mutual respect rather than fear, chaos, or people-pleasing.

Lasting emotional stability means no longer living in survival mode. It means feeling calmer in your body, more secure in your decisions, and more connected to who you truly are. A peaceful, confident, and emotionally balanced life is possible — and you deserve the opportunity to experience it.

If you’re ready to…

Together we will…

  • better understand yourself,

  • heal from the impact of your past, and

  • build a life that feels emotionally safe and authentic to who you truly are —

Then you’re in the right place.

  • work to uncover the parts of yourself that may have been buried beneath survival patterns, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or the pressure to manage others’ emotions

  • recognize the difference between who you had to become to cope and who you genuinely are beneath those protective patterns.

  • release shame, guilt, emotional burdens, and beliefs that were never yours to carry, and

  • learn healthy boundaries, reconnect with your voice and needs, and create a stronger sense of self-trust and emotional stability.

As you cultivate greater self-awareness and healing, you can begin building relationships that feel safe, reciprocal, and fulfilling — and a life that reflects your values, your needs, and your most authentic self.

Hi, I’m Courtney

I understand firsthand what it feels like to grow up in an emotionally unpredictable environment shaped by trauma and borderline personality traits. As a child, I often felt responsible for managing others’ emotions, struggled with anxiety and self-doubt, and learned to survive by staying hyperaware of the people around me. For years, those patterns followed me into adulthood, affecting my confidence, relationships, and sense of peace.

Through trauma-informed therapy and Human Design, I began to understand the impact of those experiences, develop healthy boundaries, and reconnect with my own identity and emotional stability. Healing helped me move from survival mode into a life grounded in confidence, self-worth, and inner peace.

Today, I am passionate about supporting others who have experienced trauma or grew up in similar environments. I provide a compassionate, validating space where clients can process their experiences, break unhealthy patterns, and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. You do not have to carry the weight of your hurt alone — with support and compassion, it is possible to create a life that feels calmer, safer, and more fulfilling.

My Approach

TRUTH over distortion. I believe that honesty, authenticity, and deep understanding are the keys to creating an enriching and soul-filled life.

Healing begins with understanding the truth of your experiences and recognizing how they have shaped how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. I believe that through compassion, self-awareness, and authentic healing work, it is possible to move beyond survival mode and create a life grounded in confidence, emotional stability, and inner peace.

For adult children of emotionally unpredictable or borderline parents, specifically, life is often shaped by self-doubt, people-pleasing, hypervigilance, or the pressure to constantly manage others’ emotions. Therapy offers a different path — one rooted in understanding, healthy boundaries, self-trust, and emotional safety.

You do not have to keep abandoning yourself in order to feel accepted or loved. Healing is about reconnecting with your voice, your needs, and your sense of self. Together, we will work toward creating a life that feels calmer, more authentic, and emotionally grounded.

The search for safety outside of yourself ends here—it’s time to come home to yourself.

About my work

Woman seated at outdoor table with laptop smiling learning about Human Design

REDISCOVERING YOUR personal truth IS YOUR PATH TO BECOMING THE MOST honest VERSION OF YOURSELF

Weaving together Human Design with my clinical social work education and training, I support adults struggling with PTSD/C-PTSD, moral injury, nervous system dysregulation, and adult children of emotionally challenging or borderline parents in understanding the lasting impact of trauma, chronic stress, and emotionally unpredictable environments. Drawing from trauma-informed, attachment-based, and nervous system-centered approaches, I help clients explore how survival-based adaptations such as hypervigilance, people-pleasing, emotional numbing, shame, and self-doubt may have once served as protective responses but now interfere with connection, safety, and authenticity.

My work integrates an understanding of complex trauma, relational wounds, and the ways trauma can affect identity, emotional regulation, trust, and relationships over time. I support clients in healing emotional wounds, processing guilt and shame, strengthening healthy boundaries, and reconnecting with a deeper sense of self, meaning, and emotional resilience. Through a compassionate and collaborative approach, clients learn to move beyond survival mode and cultivate greater emotional stability, confidence, self-trust, and fulfillment in their daily lives.

I hold a Master of Social Work from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and bring nearly a decade of experience in the mental health field. Over the past six years, I have also extensively studied Human Design and continue to deepen this work through ongoing education, personal practice, and professional growth.

As a lifelong learner with a deep curiosity about human behavior, I integrate evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy with reflective and holistic insight. My approach helps clients better understand themselves, heal longstanding patterns, and reconnect with who they authentically are so they can live with greater alignment, purpose, self-awareness, and self-trust.
